Ann Shephard joined CDP just prior to the passing of our founder, Marie. Since becoming a Christian in 1983, Ann has been given a heart for the importance of global mission, particularly in Africa. This will be her fourth mission for CDP since 2023. As well as being President, Ann is also Operational Director.
Ray Shephard joined CDP with his wife, Ann, and will be leading the eucalyptus oil project. This is Ray’s second mission trip with CDP.
Geoff and Michelle Brain are members of the same church as Ann and Ray (Picton/Wilton Anglican Parish) on the outskirts of Greater Sydney. They are passionate about serving God in global mission and are long-term volunteers for CMS Australia.
Beatrice Makori is a Tanzanian friend who will be our translator. Currently, she is assisting with domestic arrangements for the mission. At the end of the mission, Beatrice will travel to Australia with the team to take up a further education opportunity. She will study for two years to obtain a Master of Education Extension which will help her to further her career as an English teacher by teaching English in a university. It is her desire to improve the standard of teaching English to a very high level.
